What a paid link is
A paid link is a link to a retailer where, if you buy something, we may earn a commission from that retailer. You pay the same price whether or not you use the link. On pages that show such links, this notice appears above the first one:
Some links on this page are paid links: if you buy through them we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. It never changes our numbers — every calculator result is the same with or without a purchase.
Every individual link of this kind also carries the words "(paid link)" right next to it, so you never have to guess which links they are.
Programs we currently take part in
None at the moment. Until a program is approved and active, any retailer link on this site is an ordinary link that earns us nothing, although it is still labeled "(paid link)" so the labels stay consistent when a program starts. We will list each program here when it becomes active.
Commissions never change the numbers
Calculator results are produced by the formulas shown on each tool page from the inputs you enter. A purchase, or the lack of one, has no effect on them. Recommendation links appear only after you complete a calculation, at most two per result, and the advice next to them includes options we do not earn from, such as asking a local soil yard or lumber yard for a quote.
How we choose what to link
We link to a product type when it matches the result you just calculated: bagged soil after a soil calculation, for example. Commission rates do not decide the order. We have not physically tested products, so we do not describe them as tested, rate them or call any of them the top choice.
How the links work
Recommendation links open in a new tab and are marked rel="sponsored nofollow" for search engines. Some go through a short redirect on this site (/go/…) that records an anonymous click before sending you on; others go straight to the retailer. What we record is described in the privacy notice.
Independence
We do not make or sell raised beds, soil or lumber, and we are not affiliated with any brand or retailer mentioned on the site. Questions about this policy: hello@raisedgardenbed.org.
